Do you need some ideas for your garden wall?

There’s so much you can do with your garden wall design . If you get the right design for your garden you could transform it without having to spend a fortune, particularly if you don’t have the budget. You could share your ideas with a trustworthy and talented team of landscape designers, such as the team you’ll find here at Brian’s Garden and Fencing Services

It helps if you sit down first and try and decide what you want from your garden wall. Perhaps you would like to have it divided, or maybe you’d like a completely new wall? Write down a few ideas, discuss them with family and friends before going to someone professional, or before starting to do anything yourself - if you decide you’re going to be the one doing it.

What type of materials should you use?

You’ll want to consider the type of materials you’re going to use. If you’re sprucing up an existing wall, you’ll need to think about how you can find materials that match what’s currently there, or use a material that can contrast with existing material but not look odd or out of place. You also want materials that are robust and strong enough to withstand any weather and still look good.

Lots of different materials to create the kind of garden wall you really want

There’s a wide variety of different materials to use including sandstone, brick, concrete blocks, sandstone and wood. You could also use Besser blocks or concrete sleepers. Brick is extremely durable and strong, and concrete blocks can be used to create curves, corners and is extremely sophisticated when used well, the downside is that walls made with this material usually have to be quite low and under four feet. Stone can create all kinds of different looks, and create a gorgeous natural appearance which can be customised into any shape. Sandstone is classic while wood gives you a simple installation with minimum fuss. Besser blocks are an extremely versatile material to work with and they don’t need to be grey, you could paint them any colour you wanted, possibly even bright colours if you feel brave enough.

Decorate, paint, wall murals, potted and climbing plants

You can decorate your garden wall once finished with climbing plants, and potted plants attached to the Besser blocks or bricks, so they’re at angles to each other on the wall forming a vertical pattern. You can paint your garden wall as already mentioned, perhaps some graffiti even or a mural – I mean why not?
